Hurricane Strikes Coast, Dozens Dead

Prix[CBS]— Hurricane Ulde, a Category Four storm, struck the coast of Larma three days ago, leaving over 60 dead, destroying over three hundred buildings, and leaving several thousand people homeless.
Ulde struck the coast between Valda Bay and Mythom with winds in excess of 240KPH and sending a six meter wall of water several kilometers inland. According to Sang-shao Phillip Keys, commander of Prix’s Home Guard, the villages of Helsolt, King’s Bay, and Leeson “no longer exists as settlements.” The official death toll is listed at 63, but it is believed that the number will go much higher.
Aid is pouring from other parts of the planet, but problems with the HPG station is said to causing problems with requesting aid from off-planet. The Sang-shao has declared a curfew from ten kilometers north of Valda Bay down south to Mythom Bay and twenty kilometers inland. The curfew zone covers twelve hundred square kilometers, which is most of costal Mythom Provence. Asked when the curfew would be lifted, Keys said, “We are taking that on a day by day basis. We may rescind the curfew in stages once we are sure we have secured the area.”
