Hostage-Takers Captured!
Добавлено: 18 фев 2009, 19:24[8 January 3072; DBC] Eleven men entered the Derrick Street Branch of the Clandon City Bank on Porrima two days ago. Sixteen hours later, nine of them were dead and the others in police custody after a daring tactical raid by the Clandon City Police Force.
The kidnappers, disguised as interior repairmen, used the ladders and toolboxes of their disguises to get into the bank with their weapons before securing the doors and hostages. One of the tellers managed to activate the silent alarm before surrendering. None of the hostages had been harmed by the time the police arrived and surrounded the bank.
Negotiators worked steadily into the evening, trying to talk the hostage-takers out of the building, but by midnight it became clear that the kidnappers weren’t going to negotiate. The Police Tactical Squad took over, breaching the south wall of the bank a little after 1am local time. Twenty-nine members of Clandon City PTS moved in an engaged the kidnappers. Two hostages, sixty-three year old Samson Ford and twenty-nine year old Rachelle Givens were killed by the kidnappers during the assault.
The two captured are being held by the Clandon City police in their barracks on I Street. According to unconfirmed statements, the kidnappers hoped to steal enough money to leave Porrima and flee toward the Free Worlds League.
